I was working as a systemist, fullfilled my brain with logs of Cisco machines while people were asking impossible things. My chief was ambitious and had the idea to build up an interactive shopping mall; the leading woman was a 3D render brunette named Hanna.

My job was to build the infrastructure with wrappers and includes so to let the designer all the needed space to insert the girl.. I was a bit tired of all that but the man in front of my desk was everyday happy: he was creating worlds with two clicks (check his art out: Luca Oleastri Innovari Arts) and made a wonderful render of Hanna.. wish I had a copy of her =)

I was astonished, amused..

Since that very own day, when he did let me try to draw, I knew my career would be oriented in 3D drawing.
It took me time, too much time to experience myself with renders, all the needed tecniques and more; everytime a render was over I found out thousand black holes and started once more from scratch!

Days and night and night and days, no sun, no rain, no luck.
Finally I made up some very good renders: right lights, right poses, right eyes.
I made up a model that I named Virg0, also realized tons of render of her.. and I understood that was the begin of ./lsd.

Since those far days built up a very wide box of experience working for many projects (paper and web) and my works were so impressive that it was a pleasure working 4/6 hours on the same hair lock.

That’s it, it’s my life, it’s my work, it’s your pleasure.

Erano i tempi in cui lavoravo come sistemista consumandomi il cervello sulle macchine Cisco con la gente che a volte chiedeva cose impossibili.. il mio capo era ambizioso ed ebbe l’idea di costruire uno shopping mall interattivo con una frontwoman in 3D di nome Hanna.

Il mio compito era quello di costruire le infrastrutture con i vari wrappers e inclueds stando bene attenta a lasciare i debiti spazi per i lavori del grafico. C’erano giorni in cui ero davvero esausta, mi si incrociavano gli occhi ma il grafico che stava seduto davanti a me era sempre allegro: creava mondi infiniti in due click del mouse (ancora oggi e’ uno straordinario artista e vi consiglio di dare un’occhio al suo lavoro su Luca Oleastri Innovari Arts) e riusci’ a creare un bellissimo render di Hanna.. peccato che non ho una copia =)

Ero allibita dalla sua bravura, sembrava tutto cosi’ reale..

E da quel giorno mi lascio’ provare, piccole cose e anche parecchio orripilanti, ma avevo capito cosa volevo fare da grande!
Mi ci e’ voluto tempo, molto, moltissimo tempo per prendere confidenza con il programma e infinite prove per fare qualche render decente, imparare tutte le tecniche necessarie e altro ancora; ogni volta che finivo un render ero felice per la fatica impiegata ma guardandolo lo trovavo pieno di difetti.. e ricominciavo daccapo!

Giorni e notte e notti e giorni.. niente sole, niente pioggia, niente fortuna.
E finalmente riusci’ a fare un modello decente: belle luci, ottima posa, bellissimi occhi.
Da li’ e’ nata virg0, il modello che piu’ mi somiglia (in tutto) e il modello capostipite di una serie di render tematici.. quello, in pratica, fu l’inizio di ./lsd.

Da quella volta decuplicai l’impegnoe il tempo speso per i render, grazie anche a diverse opportunita’ (su carta e sul web) che mi hanno consentito di sviluppare la mia capacita’ di calcolare le goemtrie ad occhio. L’unica cosa che non e’ cambiata e’ la cocciutaggine e la pignoleria messa in ogni singolo particolare..

E’ la mia vita, il mio lavoro, la vostra soddisfazione.

Quando ho qualcosa di nuovo, oltre che sulla gallery di ./lsd, lo posto sulla mia pagina di deviantART page, dove ci sono anche gli scarabocchi e gli sgorbi =)
