Ci sono case e case, ci sono le ville dei divi di Hollywood arredate come set cinematografici (io stessa, nel mio piccolo, avevo modificato ogni stanza con un tema diverso: il bagno era “Treasure Island”, il corridoio pieno di forassite e cavi sparsi era “Alien”, la camera da letto era “Titanic”), ci sono quelli che se non fanno modifiche sostanziali non sono contenti.. e ci sono gli irriducibili fanatici e amanti dei cartoni o delle serie TV; certamente e’ molto piu’ facile arredare una stanza a tema, ma quando la fantasia e la passione sconfinano (e le palanche abbondano) ecco quali sono i risultati.

Questa casa non si trova al 742 di Evergreen Terrace, a Springfield ma  ad Henderson, in Nevada; e’ stata costruita per un concorso indetto dalla Fox e dalla Pepsi, il “The Simpsons House Giveaway“. Il suo valore commerciale e’ di circa USD 120.000; l’arredatore e’ Rick Floyd, il progetto di Manny Gonzales e la ditta costruttrice e’ la Kaufman and Broad Home Corporation.

E perche’ non abitare in una casa nella Middle Earth?
Magari proprio casa Baggins! E’ quello che ha fatto Simon Dale, amante dei mondi Tolkeniani, con circa USD 4500 ha costruito una casa hobbit che possa anche provvedere a se stessa, a basso impatto ambientale e, naturalmente, divertente!

Se queste due case vi paiono un po’ troppo, perche’ non provare a ridipingere le vostre quattro mura in modo originale?
Jens Werner Andersen e’ un designer norvegese, ha avuto l’idea di riportare lo stile Burberry in voga:

Home Sweet Home we may say; there are plenty of different houses all around the world starting from those arranged as Hollywood sets (on my own I tried once to decorate every single room with a specific theme, so I had the bathroom as “Treasure Island“, fibers and stuff to replicate “Alien” ship, the bedroom was inspired by “Titanic” opulency), then we have those who do big transformations.. then came the lovers. Anime or movie or toon lovers that build up their own houses with a great creativity, fantasy and money.

This house is not at 742 Evergreen Terrace, in Springfield but is housed in Henderson, Nevada; built up for the “The Simpsons House Giveaway” in the late ’90 as the prize, by Fox and Pesi. It’s about USD 120.000 worth, while decorator Rick Floyd spent hours and hours to arrange things in the inside; Manny Gonzales is the chief  project manager  and the builder was the Kaufman and Broad Home Corporation.
The winner? Grandma Barbara Howard, from Kentucky.

And what about living in the Middle Earth?
Maybe in Baggins House! Simon Dale did it: he built up this quite fancy home where he lives with his wife and two kids; the house is low ambient impact and its cost was about USD 4500.

Too much? I can understand.. then try out to paint the walls in a fancy way!
